$600 for a Site Visit, Design Proposal, and Construction Budget

What Happens When You Sign Up

The Initial Video/Phone Meeting

During this preliminary meeting, we’ll talk with you to gain a deep understanding of your goals and ideas. We’ll listen carefully to your needs and preferences, and we’ll answer any questions you may have.

We’ll also talk about your budget and the variables that can affect project costs. You’ll learn how your funds are used across the various phases of your project.
We’ll have a frank conversation about how your costs and timeline might evolve and the steps we take to prevent unpleasant surprises.

Finally, we’ll schedule a site visit that includes your designer and your builder.

The Site Visit

When we visit your site, both your designer and your builder will take a close look at your property with your goals in mind.

We’ll look for any views you might want to take advantage of (as well as any you might want to avoid). We’ll also take a look at the utilities to determine the scope of work needed to bring power and water to your new home.
We’ll identify potential challenges and look for any circumstances that will make your project unique.

This visit is a great opportunity for us to really get to know your site and your goals before design begins.

Next Steps

After our initial conversations and site visit, your design/build team will create a design proposal and a preliminary construction budget. You’ll have time to consider the proposal and budget, which include design fees, the cost of engineering consultants, permitting fees, and construction costs.

The initial construction budget number is usually within +/-20% of the final construction cost. As more details and selections are defined during the design process, the construction estimate will get more and more accurate.

Once you have reviewed the design proposal and construction budget, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions;
we want to make sure you have the answers you need to make your decision with confidence.

Then, if you choose to hire New Avenue to design and build your project, we’ll begin designing the home you’ve envisioned.
