Plans for a 432-square-foot accessory dwelling in Albany, CA

New Avenue had the pleasure of designing a 432-square-foot, one-bedroom ADU for clients in Albany, California. This beautiful backyard cottage will be a space for the family to rent out for additional income. The ADU boasts a bathroom, a bedroom, a kitchenette, and a living area, all efficiently designed into the small footprint. Luxurious bay windows introduces tons of natural light into the interior to make the smaller sized dwelling feel roomy. Meanwhile the exterior design style complements the main home on the property so the ADU fits right in and doesn’t look out of place.

Below are some images of the design including 3D view of the exterior, floor plan, elevation drawings, and interior elevations of the kitchen and bathroom. As you can see, there is plenty of space for a single adult or a young couple. The kitchen feels luxurious with hardwood cabinets and a full tile backsplash. The under sink dishwasher saves space. This sleek, space-saving design gives the occupants everything they need with a modern feel.

This custom ADU design was created especially for the client by a New Avenue designer. We work closely with our clients to design projects that are specific to their goals and ideas and respond to their unique property.
