Back in February, we sent you a preview of "The Schindler," an all-electric ADU created for a Berkeley homeowner by New Avenue.
The ADU is now complete, and we're ready to reveal the new pics.

The designer worked with the homeowners to select finishes they loved and that fit within their budget. The result is a bright, spacious interior with a clean and unique feel.
One of the homeowners' requirements was an accessible shower. They wanted to be able to use the ADU for their parents, adult children, guests, tenants, or themselves. Elements of universal design such as an easy-access shower with a support bar make the home more versatile.
The home includes plenty of storage space. The high-quality built-in shelves are more than just practical: they make the ADU feel warm and inviting.
The loft is easy to access via a folding ladder and has plenty of room for the residents' belongings.
The homeowners added this accessory dwelling knowing they could use it for their parents, for their children, for their guests, or as a rental. They may also choose to live in it themselves while their family members or tenants live in the main home.
