Ashley is a Taiwanese-Canadian designer who has spent the last thirteen years studying and working in the US. Brought up in a family in architecture, construction, and real estate, she grew up with a love for good design and spatial problem solving. She received her Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc and worked at Walker Workshop, a design–build firm in Los Angeles that specializes in high end single-family homes.

Prior to LA, she graduated with a BFA in interior design from Pratt Institute and worked in NYC on brownstone remodels and office interiors. Recently, she moved to Detroit and was a part of the revival and renovation of the historic Stanley Hong Mannia Cafe by architect Nathan Johnson into a new iconic cultural venue.

In a return to her passion for residential design, she joins New Avenue as a Senior Designer. She was drawn to New Avenue for their innovative processes, mission for social equity, and focus on helping clients achieve their goals.

Ashley's design philosophy centers around creating warm, comfortable, and practical spaces with considered details. In her spare time, she studies for licensure, practices Reiki, and daydreams about woodworking projects.
