We set out to do what we always strive to do—custom-design and custom-build an amazing ADU for a client.

When it was all said and done, we realized something: Our design beats comparable prefab in every possible way. 



We were able to make the most of an acute property angle, centering the view from the ADU on a big redwood and keeping an existing deck. We designed an ADU that took advantage of the property's shape, aligning the ADU for maximum privacy.

Prefab just can't do that. It’s impossible to compete with the limitless flexibility of custom design, the hyper efficiency of building material distribution, and the value of local skilled (and competitive) labor.

By going with a New Avenue custom design over prefab, the homeowners got:
