Looking to downsize and enjoy her retirement, Kathleen found plans for a home she loved and purchased them from the original designer, Nir Pearlson.
The plans were well worth the purchase. The design won the 2012 People's Choice Award from AIA Southwestern Oregon and the 2013 Best Small Home award from Fine Homebuilding magazine.
Any time a future homeowner purchases plans, they'll need a few changes. Every set of plans needs to be tailored to the lot and the individual owner's needs. Understanding this, Kathleen came to New Avenue for design and planning services.
A New Avenue designer was able to customize Kathleen's plans. He also advised Kathleen on city requirements and preparing her recently purchased property for construction.
Once construction is complete, Kathleen will have a home that's built from the plans she purchased and is customized for her preferences and needs.
