Created as a home for the homeowner’s aging mother, the ADU acts as a wonderful home for aging in place and living close to family. The main level is designed for barrier-free living with lots of windows and a large French door that connects the interior to the surrounding garden. There is also a bonus loft space that can be used for storage or a place for visiting grandchildren to sleep. The kitchen is integrated into the living area, creating an open feel that lives larger than the smaller size.
